Matthew Chapter 21 · The Humble King, the Cursed Fig Tree, and the Parables of Judgment

Between the entry and the temple cleansing, Jesus performs acts that are both symbolic and instructive. He curses a fig tree that has leaves but no fruit, a living parable of empty religion.
